Radio Disney
AirKast redesigned and developed a new app for Radio Disney with features designed for younger crowds, such as a “Shout Out!” scrolling ticker tape and changing images of favorite stars. Listeners can also find local events, request songs, save songs to a favorites list, and listen to Radio Disney in the background. The premium version of Radio Disney offers access to scrolling lyrics, videos and podcasts.
Salem Communications
Salem Communications (NASDAQ: SALM) is a leading faith and family focused U.S. radio broadcaster, Internet content provider and magazine. Together, Salem and AirKast have launched mobile applications for 71 stations, including KKLA, WAVA and WIND, for both iPhone and BlackBerry devices. Salem believes the continued growth of their radio stations will come via mobile applications.
Results Radio, LLC
AirKast was chosen by Results Radio to deliver iPhone and BlackBerry mobile applications for its Adult Hits (BOB-FM) and Active Rock (ZROCK) stations. In just two months, Results Radio apps were downloaded by nearly 20 percent of its stations’ Arbitron cume listenerships. In addition, those station session-stats increased nearly 50 percent from when their music stream was only available online.
Greater Media Charlotte
Great Media Charlotte partnered with AirKast to create and deliver a customized mobile application for its Charlotte, North Carolina-based station, WLNK “The Link.” This partnership is based on the AirKast commitment to supporting multiple platforms and integration with Ando Media for targeted ad insertion. Great Media Charlotte anticipates growing its online audience via mobile and providing unique opportunities for its advertisers to reach potential customers.
Max Media LLC
An innovator in marketing and programming techniques, Max Media LLC looked to AirKast to develop mobile applications for its 3 Virginia-based radio stations – WVHTFM (Hot 100.5), WVBWFM (92.9 The Wave) and WGHFM (97.3 The Eagle). All three stations now offer iPhone and BlackBerry listeners the ability to hear live streaming radio and while interacting with other digital content from their mobile devices.
